THE FOUNDER

Danis Bois

Born February 14, 1949 in France, Danis Bois was first trained in kinesitherapy and later in osteopathy.  Gifted with an extraordinary capacity to listen and observe, he soon discovered, while treating his clients, that the interior of the body is animated by a natural internal movement, easily perceived with a minimum of training.

This internal movement turned out to be a powerful source of vitality and health, and an exceptional discovery.  With a team of professionals from scientific, medical and para medical backgrounds, Danis Bois created, in 1980, a specialized research laboratory.

In both the scientific and humanitarian spirit, he developed a global corporal method of manual therapy and movement that was simple and effective, which would allow each of us to develop our maximum potential for balance, well-being and creativity.

Author of numerous books, Danis Bois continues his research today and teaches in several countries.

The Danis Bois Method

At the crossroads of modern science and the art of movement, the Danis Bois Method is an innovative approach to health and communication which is base upon an original body work.

To resolve problems that may be physical or psychological or, simply to know the self better, the Danis Bois Method offers two complementary techniques: fasciatherapy and Sensorial Gymnastics (SG).  The common element of these two techniques is that they rehabilitate the body to be once again the indispensable partner in the relationship with the self, with others and with the environment.

The Danis Bois Method in the world…

  • books, conferences and seminars
  • more than 1 500 trained practitioners world wide
  • structured courses, both practical and theoretical
  • sessions for the individual, group courses, weekends of initiation and training in personal development
  • six approved schools of professional instruction in France, Belgium,Switzerland, Canada, and soon in the Netherlands and England

Science, at the very heart of the Danis Bois Method

Research undertaken by Danis Bois and his scientific research team has allowed them to probe deeper into the founding principles of the Method and to extend its scope of action. The result is an innovative methodology for studying movement in the human being. This methodology is being used in University education and research programs offered in Portugal, Canada and Brazil.
